WAGS will meet Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Sabin HIll, Elizabethton at 6:00 P.M. Cost is $10 per person. Reservations must be made by May 21st by emailing Kate Morgan, Chairman.

Members will tour Sabin Hill, built about 1818 by Mary (“Polly”) Patton Taylor, widow of Gen. Nathaniel Taylor, of the War of 1812. Both are buried in the cemetery nearby. Among their great-grandsons were Governors Alfred A. and Robert L. Taylor, of Tennessee, and Nathaniel Harris, of Georgia.

Saturday June 9, 2018 from 2- 5 pm, WAGS in conjunction with the Johnson City Public Library will host a genealogy book sale, including WAGS publications and gently used genealogy books donated to the Public Library for this event. The sale will be held in the Jones Meeting Rooms at the Library.
Materials relating to Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama North Carolina will be offered, as well as how-to books, resources on Virginia, Southern States, Pennsylvania and Missouri.
Proceeds from the sale of used books will benefit the Tennessee Room at JCPL.

WAGS publications, such as Marriage Records of Washington Co, Tennessee, Tennessee Bible and Family Records, WAGS Bulletins, also available for sale from WAGS.

Cash prefered, no sales tax.

If you have genealogy books that you would like to sell at this event, please notify the contacts below.

Concurrent with the sale, Helpers will be available to give research advice and discuss your genealogical brick walls.
