The Watauga Association of Genealogists will meet at the Johnson City Public Library, 100 West Millard Street, on Tuesday March 3rd at 6:30 p.m.
Our March meeting will be an “Open Forum.” Please bring your latest genealogy discovery to share with the group or your current project. Have you hit a roadblock? Tell us about it and maybe we can suggest another “avenue” to take. We’d love to hear all about it.
Anyone interested in genealogy is welcome to attend. For additional information, please contact Allen Burdette, 423 610-7109 or visit our web site at http://www.wagsnetn.org/.
Did you know that www.familysearch.org has a search feature called “Standard Finder”? With this feature you can search a name, (surname, place name etc.) and you’ll be given variations of the spelling of that name to help you in your research.
Find it here: https://familysearch.org/stdfinder/PlaceStandardLookup.jsp
From the blog, “No Story Too Small”……comes this chart found below.
